PA and Lighting transformation at Kings Church, Bolton

Kings Church began in 2005 around Bolton, Lancashire and the surrounding areas. Today Kings has grown into a thriving church across multiple campuses. They see themselves as ‘one church’ but in many locations.

Their first and flagship location is in Bolton. Kings Bolton moved into a new much bigger premises in 2019 to accommodate their growing congregation – the new location includes a 750 seater auditorium and a separate youth & community building. Kings were keen to develop a contemporary space with up to date equipment to provide visitors with a world class sound experience during their services. By investing in significant PA and lighting it is also hoped that they can in future rent out the space to theatre groups and concerts.

Kings worked with Wigwam to determine the PA and lighting equipment fit for the space. Equipment includes d&b audiotechnik Y series, Allen and Heath digital mixing consoles and ETC and Chauvet lighting.

Mick Spratt of Wigwam added, “We’re pleased to have worked with the team at Kings Church on this project and the results speak for themselves. They now have a state of the art facility that will serve them well for many years to come. Not only does the Church now have a permanent home, they have a superb facility available to hire, adding a vital income stream to their accounts.”
