Business management

Paul Robson

Managing Director

Paul stumbled into leasing in 1994; his first finance job was working for a captive manufacturer which led to him working as a broker within the VFG Video Film and Grip rental house. Having gained great experience in the industry, Paul set up Medialease in 2003. These days, he is older, greyer and – in many ways – wiser but still loving the customer and supplier relationship, putting deals together and getting involved in an industry that has provided him with so much. Paul is also a trustee of Backup – The Technology Entertainment charity.

Julie Robson

Head of Operations

For the last 13 years, Julie has worked closely with numerous high-street banks, covering contracts related to the delivery of cash transactions via ATMs. Julie has worked in the legal profession for some 30 years, covering all aspects of compliance, governance, and employment law.

Alex Hambleton

Business Relationship Manager

Alex joined Medialease with 12 years of event industry experience. His expertise in video technology, including large scale LED displays, multi-blend projection, processing, and ultra-high resolution playback technology, is an asset to Medialease, but he is equally at home with the latest audio and broadcast solutions. Alex is looking forward to building strong relationships with customers and suppliers alike.

Jon Openshaw

Vendor Manager

Jon has worked with Medialease for many years. He works primarily within the AV, live events, and broadcast sectors, specialising in vendor programs and creating innovative ‘pay per use’ finance solutions that can benefit both suppliers and customers.

A member of High Wycombe RUFC since 1983, Jon loves his rugby. He has played a few games, coached a bit, and now supports the 1st XV. When not on the touchline, Jon is also a member of the West Wycombe Choir and can often be found singing his two grandchildren to sleep!

Richard Arnold

Business development and sales strategy

Richard first started in finance in the motor industry in the 1980s. He eventually went on to set up and successfully run his own finance company, Bradgate Business Finance Ltd., before selling the company and semi-retiring in 2020. Having known Paul (managing director at Medialease) for many years, Paul asked Richard if he fancied taking on the challenge of helping grow Medialease and developing their sales strategy. Richard is a people person and enjoys meeting clients and helping to deliver high standards of customer service. Whilst Richards home is in the Midlands, he is often spending time in the South West and considers it his second home.

Emma Toomey

Senior Leasing Administrator

Emma joined Medialease in November 2017 and is a qualified administrator. She has twenty plus years’ experience in administration, accounting and customer service. Emma has fantastic attention to detail and not much gets past her! You’ll often speak to Emma when you phone in – she’s the friendly voice at the end of the phone.

Sophie Lowry

Leasing Administrator

Sophie is a qualified book keeper and has worked in the team for a number of years, recently joining the admin side of the business to get the invoices in and agreements paid out as soon as possible.
