OB Trucks and Satellite Links:

Medialease has recently financed the fit out of a multi-million pound Outside Broadcast vehicle for one of the UK’s largest OB companies. Equipment financed by Medialease is used currently on outside broadcast facilities for Premier League, FA Cup and Europa Cup football matches and also had prominent live events, such as The V Festival, Download, Live8, The Concert for Diana and Live Earth.

Another Medialease customer has asked us to secure funding for their Satellite link equipment - used on the ATP Tennis tour and for short notice SNG (Satellite News Gathering) work.

Live Events:

The cameras & video equipment for the last two U2 tours (Vertigo and 360°) was financed by Medialease. The 360 tour used 500,000 LED modules to provide a revolutionary video show.

Medialease have also provided complete finance solutions – we financed the audio, lighting, video and staging equipment for the 2007 George Michael tour.
Equipment financed by Medialease is believed to be used on 75% of all the large touring /stadium concerts in the UK over the past 3-4 years.

When the Sister Act show came to the London Palladium Medialease were on hand to provide the asset finance for the shows substantial audio requirements. The show used a high end PA system and mixing console.

Post Production:

Medialease was recently asked to finance all the 2D & 3D graphics/VFX equipment for a new visual effects facility working in the Television industry.
Medialease duly obliged and provided funding for the complete installation including several graphics workstations as well as the IT infrastructure. This was a whole new venture for an existing VFX company who were expanding from Film visual effects into Television work.

Medialease has also secured a low rate lease agreement to facilitate the upgrade of a high end online finishing/editing system for a well established boutique post production facility in Soho. We upgraded the customers existing system to the latest software version as well as upgrading the storage so that the system could continue to be used on their regular work for Nike and ITV Sport.

Its not just video equipment that Medialease finance, we are very well known to all the main audio console manufacturers such as DigiDesign, DiGiCo, Calrec, Soundcraft/Studer and AMS Neve. We have just sourced funding for a brand new audio console for one of Soho’s leading commercial audio post facilities. The console went straight into use on the current Guinness commercial.

Operating Lease:

Working with a major UK audio installation integrator, Medialease has helped a large University meet their strict budget requirements on the development of their new campus. Part of this development was a new multi floor live venue with a substantial professional PA and lighting system. The cost of this system was beyond the Universities annual Cap Ex budget but Medialease managed to structure a deal using the Universities ‘operating’ budget, which allowed them to take the full equipment requirement and pay for it against the budgeted figure.

Medialease provided a 20 month operating lease (full off-Balance Sheet funding) for 180 panels of 3 year old Lighthouse outdoor LED screen panels, image controllers and full installation and subsequent removal of panels for a property development company.

The requirement was to clad the listed facade of a Grade II listed city centre building in a prime retail location for the period of building rebuild & refurbishment, to provide an advertising driven revenue stream to the client. The LED Screens were an integral part of this plan.

We worked hand in hand with a well known screen installation company, who installed the LED panels across the 2 corners of the facade over a night time weekend period. The advertising revenue for the client was provided by a services company we also co-ordinated with and know well.

The project was highly successful for the client during the 18 month rebuild period. Subsequent removal of the panels was also carried out by Medialease as part of our package of works and we then committed to sell the panels on, once removed from site and the rental contract had been finalised, which we achieved, with profit.

Total project cost for supply install and commission / de-commission and remove from site was over £600,000.

Vendor Finance:

When a well known audio console manufacturer launched their new digital live desk they wanted to offer their customers an incentive to buy this new product immediately in what is an increasingly competitive market.
Medialease structured a manufacturer backed package that allowed them to offer their customers a 2 year 0% fixed rate finance deal.

Medialease currently works alongside many of the leading broadcast and post production equipment resellers and system integrators. We regularly provide them with leasing figures as part of their customer quotations for anything from a simple software upgrade to a complete facility installation.
